Terms of service
Draft (2026-10-10). Parts highlighted will be filled in once the reseller and refund policy are final.
These terms govern the WordPress plugins Interpres (free) and Interpres Pro, the translation pack server, Interpres Cloud and the interpres.ing website (the "service"), provided by Interpres ([legal entity], "we"). Buying Pro or using the service means you accept them.
1. Software license
- The code of Interpres and Interpres Pro is released under the GPL v2 or later. You may modify and redistribute it.
- A Pro license key is not a license to the code but access to services: updates and support for the license period, translation sharing, and Interpres Cloud. A key activates as many sites as you bought; deactivating a site frees the slot for another.
- Keys may not be published or resold. If a key appears to have leaked we may issue a new one and block the old one.
2. Fees and payment
- Prices are those shown on the Pro page. Payment, receipts and taxes are handled by our reseller, [Paddle or Lemon Squeezy].
- Subscriptions (yearly updates) renew automatically and can be cancelled any time before the renewal date. After cancellation the installed plugin keeps working; only updates and cloud use stop.
- Interpres Cloud credits are prepaid and [valid for 12 months / do not expire]. When a translation fails because of a server error, the credits are returned automatically.
3. Refunds
Full refund within 14 days of purchase for any reason. Credits are refunded for the unused part only. Where the reseller's policy is more generous, it applies. Ask at hello@interpres.ing or through the link on the reseller's receipt.
4. Translation packs and shared translations
- Packs are reviewed user contributions and our own translations. We do not guarantee their accuracy; checking them on your site is your responsibility.
- If sharing is on and you apply a translation, you agree that we may distribute it to other users under GPL-compatible terms. You are responsible for not including content you may not share (for example strings of a paid plugin whose license forbids it).
- We may decline to publish a contribution or take it down later, and there is no compensation for contributions.
5. AI translation
AI translations can be wrong. Have a person check anything where accuracy matters (legal, medical, financial). With your own API key, that provider's terms and prices apply, and those costs are between you and the provider.
6. Prohibited use
- Flooding the servers or bypassing the review process
- Distributing a modified plugin that bypasses license checks under the Interpres name
- Putting malicious code, spam or infringing content into shared translations
7. Warranty disclaimer and liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the last 12 months. This does not limit liability that cannot be excluded under consumer protection law.
8. Changes and termination
We may change these terms; changes are posted here and important ones announced 7 days in advance. You can stop using the service at any time by deleting the plugin. The free plugin keeps working with its installed language files even if the service is discontinued.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea; disputes go to [court]. Consumers keep the protection of the law where they live.
