The free plugin contacts no server until you turn on translation packs. With packs on, it sends the text domains and versions of your installed plugins and themes, your target language and a hash of your site address, so that matching packs can be offered. Pro sends plugin strings for translation to the provider you chose, or to Interpres Cloud. No content, user data or keys ever leave your site.
